Jan Poupě: Neuralscape (catalogue)
Product detailed description
In the field of Czech visual art, the painter Jan Poupě (*1988) has established a stable position thanks to the geometric form of traditional oil painting. In his painting (as well as sculpture and experimental work) he has long focused on two themes in particular: the problem of the physical phenomenon of flow and the phenomenon of landscape representation. In his exhibition at the Telegraph Gallery he presented works devoted to the latter, i.e. the way of understanding landscape, its retrospective interpretation and its perception. In the more than fifty pages of the catalogue we can find reproductions of works that are a mental deconstruction of perceived space and its subsequent transfer to the canvas, photographs from the Olomouc exhibition and texts by Jan Dotřel and Jozef Mrva. The catalogue is written in Czech and English
