Product detailed description
The exhibition presented side by side older and recent works by photographer Ivan Pinkava (*1961) with an emphasis on their development and mutual dialogue. Pinkava has built his distinctive visual language primarily on classic analogue black and white photography, which constantly oscillates between the representation of the human figure and still life. However, after almost thirty years of continuous work with black and white analogue photography, he has come to its digital and colour form. The constant leitmotif of Pinkav's work is the reflection on the symbols of European visual culture and the awareness of his own finitude. In addition to reproductions of the author's photographs that formed the Olomouc exhibition, the nearly 100-page publication also includes texts by curators Jan Dotřel and Pavel Dvořák. The catalogue is written in Czech and English.
