Product detailed description

Telegraphic. You can have a unique piece of art with real artistic value in your home. The serigraph by Czech artist David Pešat, entitled Reward, reflects the work of an artist who balances between figuration and abstraction. Through expressive painting, he depicts the process of creation and extinction and invites us to reflect on the constant changes that affect our view of the world.

The printing technique of serigraphy (or screen printing) consists of a process in which ink is pushed through a fine mesh onto the printing surface. The technique first appeared more than a thousand years ago in China, but gained its greatest popularity during the Pop Art period, when artists such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein made it famous. Telegraphics offer you a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the work of contemporary artists. Each print in this limited edition reflects the unique approach and personal vision of its creator. Explore the full range of telegraphics and get a piece of an inspiring world with increasing artistic value to take home with you.

David Pešat (*1980) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in Painting Studio 1 under Prof. Jiří Sopek. During his studies he also completed internships in Spain and Finland. His painting work follows the modernist conception of the painting in the transformation of its composition and formal expression. The artist reacts to this starting point in his own way, reassessing, destroying and transforming it. He sensitively perceives the framework of experience that modern art has gone through to create the conditions for a free creative treatment of visuality itself. Pešat perceives visuality as a "raw material", a material to be transformed and processed. Using expressive painting, colour and the "act of creation", his work depicts external pressures and internal emotions. Through his work, Pešat opens up a different view of the subject world during the process of creation and dissolution, and reports on the constant inner transformations of man that constantly influence his view of the world.
